Getting to TarGanGil Ski Lodge

By Car

From Sydney: Take the Hume and Federal highways to Canberra, then the Monaro Highway to Cooma and then on to Jindabyne. Continue through Jindabyne and take the Alpine Way heading towards Thredbo rather continuing straight ahead to Charlotte Pass as signposted.

In winter (June to October), Kosciuszko Road between Perisher Valley and Charlotte Pass is closed. The village is accessible only by oversnow transport and overnight parking is not permitted at Perisher Valley.

Tar Gan Gil guests should leave vehicles at the Skitube (Alpine Railway) at Bullocks Flat on the Alpine Way where short and long-term security parking is available free of charge.

A 10-minute train ride from Bullocks Flat Skitube terminal transports guests to Perisher Valley for connection to Charlotte Pass via Oversnow Transport , a 40-minute ride to the village from Perisher.

In summer, guests can drive directly to Charlotte Pass and park in front of the lodge.

From Melbourne: Travel north on the Hume Highway. About 155km past Albury/Wodonga, take the Snowy Mountains Hwy to Cooma and then onto Jindabyne. For directions to Charlotte Pass beyond Jindabyne, see above.

By Plane

The NSW Snowy Mountains are serviced by Snowy Mountains Airport in Cooma, and Canberra International Airport.

Rex Regional Express (13 17 13 within Australia) flies to Cooma from Sydney and Melbourne. For connections to Perisher Valley contact Snowy Mountains Express (02 6452 4455).

Qantas and VirginBlue fly regularly from all major Australian cities to Canberra International Airport. For connections to Perisher Valley contact Summit Coaches (1800 608 008) or Snowlink (0427 562 898). Guests can connect to oversnow transport to Charlotte Pass at the Perisher Skitube Terminal.
