TarGanGil Ski Lodge - Charlotte Pass

Charlotte Pass - Kosciuszko National Park

Snowbound during the winter months, Charlotte Pass provides a stunning backdrop to a winter holiday at TarGanGil.

Known for its seclusion and charm, this remote village with only 12 lodges and the historic Kosciuszko Chalet, the latter whose origins date back to 1930, makes every holiday a real high-country getaway.

No long lift lines, no hordes of day trippers, no over-spilling car parks, Charlotte Pass is a skiers’ and boarders’ dream.

“Charlotte Pass is perfectly suited for families with small children…The village is only allowed to accommodate just over 600 people, making the queues on the five lifts virtually non existent.”
- Jim O’Rourke, The Sun Herald

Lifts and terrain

Five ski lifts (click here for prices) service the terrain that spills from Kangaroo Ridge into a large bowl for skiers and boarders. The terrain and proximity of the slopes to lodges make this ideal for families; children are never too far away.

For those opting for scenery and solitude over adrenalin, the back country is there for the taking which makes Charlotte Pass an ideal base for cross-country skiers. And everyone will go home with the stunning view of the Kosciuszko summit and the main range from the chairlift on Kangaroo Ridge.

Ski school

Want to improve your form? Charlotte Pass Village ski school offers private tuition and group lessons, and ski and snowboard rentals are also available.

TarGanGil guests can also enjoy facilities of the historic Kosciuszko Chalet, considered the birthplace of skiing in Australia, including several cosy lounges with fireplaces, two bars, a gift shop, massage therapist and mountain photographer. Child minding facilities are also available.
