With three decades of ski-industry experience both in Charlotte Pass and the Swiss Alps, and having skied the world over, David and Noala know what makes a ski holiday special.

Dining

Wake up to a piping hot breakfast that changes daily and ski right to the door step for lunch in the dining room or on the lodge deck with its panoramic views. Each evening throughout the winter season, guests congregate in the dining room for a three-course gourmet meal, included in the weekly tariff.

With its tantalising winter menu - from duck Maryland with beetroot and wild rocket salad to pumpkin & prosciutto risotto, lamb shanks, and beef with port & mushroom sauce - it’s no wonder guests come back to TarGanGil for the food alone. Guests need only bring beverages and a hearty appetite.

During the ski season, TarGanGil is also known for its weekly BBQ on the deck where David works magic with his tongs. Feast on a Kransky or two and steel yourself for an afternoon back on the slopes.

“The three course meals range from gourmet chicken and beef dishes to good old-fashioned steak followed by sumptuous desserts.”
- Jim O’Rourke, The Sun Herald

“The standard and quantity of food at TarGanGil … included in the rates was so high that skiing all day was almost a compulsory weight-maintenance measure.”
- Kellie Bisset, Medical Observer

Ski-in, ski-out

If you’re after ski-in ski-out lodging, look no further. Of all the lodges in the village, TarGanGil boasts the closest proximity to the resort’s ski lifts - just 20 metres from the Kangaroo Ridge chairlift - providing easy access for a quick hot chocolate between runs.

Known for its comfortable non-smoking accommodation, the lodge offers guests the choice of four twin/double rooms, and three larger rooms that can accommodate families or groups. All rooms include ensuites and all linen is provided.

Come and enjoy the magic of TarGanGil, named after the Aboriginal word for high white peak. If it’s your first time to the lodge, we guarantee it won’t be your last.
